GAME WRITING PORTFOLIO
See below for examples of my work as a Lead Writer for a video game studio, comic book author, Games Producer & Staff Writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and narrative writer for TV & film.
Narrative Writing for TV & Film Samples
I have written and sold feature length screenplays to production companies, such as my sci-fi, time loop rom-com The Honeymoon Phase (see here for PDF of script).
I wrote and sold a half-hour comedy pilot called Annika Erotica to IFC (PDF here).
I was a staff writer for four seasons of Mr. Student Body President, a narrative dramedy currently available to stream on Amazon (sample episode script PDF here). And here is a sci-fi script for an original pilot I co-wrote called Bad Egg (PDF here).
Video Game Writing Samples
As lead writer for 1047 Games, in addition to creating our Lore Bible, helping to developing the narrative design of our levels, and writing all of our in-game announcer dialogue (play Splitgate 2 in 2025 to check it out!), I also worked on numerous aspects of our marketing material, out now. For example:
—> I co-wrote and helped develop multiple cinematic trailer scripts with our head of marketing and external partner Plastic Wax, including the recently released announce trailer:
—> I wrote a series of comics expanding the world-building of Splitgate 2 (comics available to read in our digital Splitgate 2 companion app now, or you can check out a PDF download here):
—> I wrote quiz questions in our digital Splitgate 2 companion app that sort players into their respective faction, in the style of a Buzzfeed personality quiz:
I created dozens of original characters, writing backstories and flavor text for companion cards in our app:
Games Producer and Staff Writer for The Tonight Show
I was a Staff Writer for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for over three years, writing monologue jokes, sketches, and other comedy segments. For two of those years, I was our Games Producer, meaning that I wrote and produced all of the games played on the show. I developed and tested hundreds of game ideas, which required writing scripts, working across departments to create artwork and sets, collaborating with celebrity talent to direct them in the games, and overseeing the edit process. In total, I produced content for over 600 episodes of television. For example:
—> Simple trivia games, like this “German Words Quiz” with Christoph Waltz:
—> Food competition “reality TV” style games, like the Tarik vs Jimmy Cook-Off series, such as the “Cake Off”:
—> Video game competitions, like this Among Us charity event which broke Twitch records:
—> Physical challenge games like “Will It Fit?” with BTS:
—> So many musical competition games, like the “Name That Song Challenge” with Taylor Swift:
—> Party games like “True Confessions”:
—> Bluffing games like “Box of Lies”:
—> Classic gameshow games like “Password”:
And so many more! If you can think of a talk show or game show type of game, I’ve probably developed, written and produced a version of it.
