Here’s what I learned after SNL: When I got on SNL I thought, “Yes, this is it, I’m off to the races,” and then you get fired, and you think, “Oh, wait a minute..” And then you realize there’s no finish line in show business; you never get to a place where you think, “Okay, now I’ve done it, now I can relax.” That place never exists. So what you do is go from gig to gig, and you hope they are good gigs, and you hope when you do them you do a good job.”
